How it all started...
The Potter’s House Church of Fort Meade is a Christian Fellowship Ministries Church (CFM). The fellowship was founded in 1970 by Pastor Wayman Mitchell. A spiritual fire was launched that is spanning the globe. In a few short years, over 2,500 churches have been planted in over 90 nations of the world. From that, crusades and conferences sprung up that are touching tens of thousands every year.
The Potter's House Church of Fort Meade is a product of that vision and is working to see it expanded in the short time that remains before Jesus' return. God has given us a vision for the day we live in. Our message is simple, yet it is the cornerstone of all truth. Jesus Christ is the only hope for man's salvation and that is true with every person in every nation on the globe.
Pastor Ashley was born and raised in Queens, New York. After serving in the United States Marine Corps, he gave his life to Christ where he was radically changed. He has been married to his wife Kerri for over 15 years. They have two children who are happily serving and ministering to lost along side them . Pastor Ashley and his family were sent from their Mother Church in Stafford, Virginia to pioneer a church in August 2020. Pastor Ashley served in his Mother Church for almost ten years - Bible Study Leader, Clean-Up Team, Church Counsel, Song Service Leader, Outreach Leader, Drama Team Leader, Usher and various other roles. The Ashley's immediately started having service, Bible Studies and fellowships in their home. A very short while later they moved to a small retail basement unit and grew. They moved again by faith in larger into a larger space in September 2023 (just minutes from the Ft. Meade base). They Ashley's and the Body has seen transformed lives through repentance, miracle healing, water baptisms, and believers making decisions to become disciples.
